Digital collage artwork “Trinity” from alphadesigner’s Theogony cycle (Θεογονία), first published in 2006. The artwork’s main theme is music and the circle of life. It offers an artistic depiction of the endless cycle of life and death, with a trinity of Hellenistic deities. The central female figure is the muse of epic poetry Calliope, below are her sons Orpheus, the legendary signer (male figure to the right) and Linus, the inventor of melody and rhythm (male figure to the left). The two Japanese-style samurai swords represent both extremes of existence. The collage combines different media types such as photography, illustration, graphic design and 3D modelling in a single signature piece from alphadesigner’s Digital Baroque period. British magazine “Digital Arts” published an extensive interview in 2009 about the creative process of the artwork.
