The Thompson River has a large eagle population because of the large numbers of sockeye salmon in the river. A walk along the banks of the river will most assuradely result in viewing at least one eagle. Over the years they have become my friends as I see the same 2 eagles resting in the same old pine tree pretty much every day. This is the inspiration for my painting.
