got inspired by my art work The Golden Cage, she wrote this poem

The Golden Cage

I am free but I am not
I can breathe but I cannot
My life of loneliness is closing in on me
Making me someone I don’t want to be
Greed and hate got me here
I have to get out and go somewhere
Just like my Stallion I keep locked up
Who wants to get out and be so tough
The Stallion stamps his feet all day
I understand why he feels this way
I must open the GOLDEN CAGE and let him out
Life is to be lived .. that’s what it’s all about
I will follow him as he goes
Breathe the free air as it blows
All my wealth I’ll give away
I want to live with love each day
Here’s the key … we are free at last
I will now forget the past.
