she looks kind of blissed out, vampiric stone woman oblivious to being dead she could even be listening to dancetrance , for her dead-life is good! ....just a thought…
Al Neaimi replied

Dani Dreyer
Great piece again Al, I am a bit nuts but here goes:
I would call this Staying Positive, as it seems as if she had failed at something due to the cracked body and head but still stay highly positive and motivated due to the arms that are raised not sure about the closed eyes, positive but want things to go her way maybe..
Al Neaimi replied
You read art well Dani :-) thanks buddy.

Dearest Al,I will play! ...here goes:
My father,a farmer, always said ..”if you want to understand life,go study nature’’.
I observed.Life,is tough in nature,but everything wants to live…
Having had the good fortune of being very broken and very blessed, there was a fork in my spiritual journey that helped me step away from carrying around a great sadness….
I was told a story quite simply,We each are born with a perfect and whole heart with the ability to love.(Creator /Spirit/.?..)God,doesnt want it back un-used!In fact, when returned to sender…the more tattered and torn with scars and healed up places the better…one that has lived….!
This piece make me think of the lotus flower..its roots are in the mucky-muck of water, like her legs and lower torso (cold/base nature),there is an immediate environmental shift of dark to light for the upper torso( pinkish tones moving in& housing the heart)and the open reception of the arms and hands( can celebrate& embrace with love),and ironically the yuckier the water …the more beautiful the lotus flower….
so by unconditionally embracing her spiritual path( you see some warmth& the blue lightly raining around her), even with brokenness and pain…the power, the dance is always about breath…
With breath there is being~ness and with being..joy and if there is joy…there is love and with love there is always …appreciation for beauty….such is her face, luminous,as the lotus flower.
I think that everything…lol ;-]

Al Neaimi replied
Wow , you have an amazing eye for art and spirituality , Thank you for sharing this , you make me think .
Shelleymay
Ok, here goes. The way I see this is that our body is the illusion, it is representation of the ego which convinces us we are seperate. Her body is flawed, is not representative of the traditional standards applied to beauty. Yet she emanates a beauty, an innerlight , which is what the viewer is drawn to, not the flaws, they are noticed at a much later date. Her arms are open, in tune, and totally accepting the rightful gifts bestowed on her from the universe. She is free, she is spirit.
Al Neaimi replied
you are not far from my own story of this art work , thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
love and light.

Past the Pain
Her body was broken but her heart was not…
Was it physical?
Mental?
Was it the loss of her childhood?
Was it the history of women sometimes beaten Down by the atrocities of man?
Or the War that took her family and brought her Back to life again?
She looks to the sun
Cracks have begun
And a green bud of Joy emerges from the dust.
Joyous Realization
Substance Sustains
Life Remains..
Living fully
She Must
Living Holy
In Trust.

Hi Al,
I’ve been watching your work for a while now (as you know), but this work forced me to join Red Bubble. I absolutely love it! I think a good title would be Eternal Bliss or something like that. That seems to capture it for me. It seems like she’s in some kind of extacy you also see with some cults, you know? Like Baghwan and Hare Krishna. I’ve seen lots of pictures of those people at meetings and they all seem to have the same facial expression, extacy/bliss. Whether it is true extacy/bliss or ignorant extacy/bliss, I’m not sure yet.
Thanks for sharing your work, mate!
Stefan

It seems to me that we must learn to bend, to adapt, to be less rigid in our lives not to crack in thousand pieces… most of us lear this through hard experiences, or when we find ourselves looking for our lost pieces….Not to be so hard on others or to ourselves…. Not judging… Each one of us has its way in this life, we can share, but not walk another person’s way or force the others to follow ours…. It is hard….to live to fulfill another person’s ideals….and it has painful costs…
She’s in pieces, but smiles….there is hope….we keep on learning!
Al Neaimi replied
so true , thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hi Al,this hit me between the eyes, and heart,It makes me feel like she is mending, and all the pieces are comming back together, like a healing of the spirit and finding the light.

There is Faith in expression – confidence – accomplishment – there is pride! There is no reason to display these cracks of time …. these imperfections that define the gems collected on the journey. There is pain …... there is peace!
WEll done my freind.

Travelling in time will teach you humans nature,
Stone, which live longer than all humanity?
Sculpture which can sing a song
Touching my soul from inside out
Nothing is important, only energy and bliss
Prayers to the heaven when there is no hope left on that land
Where people made with hearts out of stone…
Al Neaimi replied
Thank you Lara for this wise thoughts.

“Blessed ” that’s what came immediately to my mind the first thing, when I saw her, her expression says it all…it is so controversial to say so and opposed to the way she looks, but she knows better…experienced and wise she is… in her body and mind…
