THE FOOL

I Love this work,I had so much fun creating this art work , we all have been a FOOL or know some one who is a FOOL in our life time.
-------
Rhana Griffin
wrote a great Poem also called the FOOL , I love it and goes very well with this art work .
, Thank you Rhana , please do visit her site to see more of her work.

THE FOOL

In the corner sits a fool,
her head, once held so high
now hangs between her knees
as hot tears of shame
fall silently to
drip onto her feet.

In the corner sits a fool
her golden locks,
once tossed in confidence
now fall victim
to the rough hacking of the
shears held in her hands.

In the corner sits a fool
the flowers of praise
once heaped upon her
now lie dead, turning to dust
borne away on the winds
of her own self disgust.

In the corner sits a fool
her fine raiment
once worn so proudly
now ripped to shreds
by the talons of the many
whose den she accidently stumbled upon.

In the corner sits a girl
broken but…
never beaten,
who belatedly realises
she has been played for a
fool

Her tears now spent,
she raises her head defiantly,
fixes a baleful stare
upon the cause of her suffering
and whispers…
never again

Al-Neaimi.. this work today is flawless and brings such royalty to all of Us Fools..out here.. Look at the wisdom in the speaking mouth and the seeing eyes.. the third eye..knows to be here and be human is such a foolish joyous ride… I like how you allow us this time in your presentation of the New Fool on the block to let us interperate what we will.. Male or Female.. I don’t know.. both inside me.. for sure.. and the shells.. you know those shells in India very sacred ..

  • Al Neaimi replied

Thank you very much Lianji glad you see and enjoy.

superb subtle and dramatic distortions to the human face. the symbolism of the all seeing third eye is the mark of a fool indeed. hubris. beautiful patterns and symmetry. your love of this image shows through. bravo.

    The Fool in the Mirror

    =================

The man sits wearily in front of the mirror
the sound of laughter ringing in his ears
a fool stares back at him.

A faint grin tugs at his lips
as he wipes the smile off his face
and stores it back in the jar.
The rest of the face soon follows
    waiting in the jars.

The clown is no longer in the mirror.
Is he? The man smiles, frowns, makes faces.
The man is no longer the clown,
yet the clown is still there.

The lights go out, the mirror is silent.
The jars of grease paint wait patiently
for the sound of children’s laughter

Oh… this is a challenge for my “constricted mind”
Seeing the Tarot so fied upon his-her tridimensionality of Sight…Brain-Mind like an jewell coffer, staring to me and to anyone… looking behind annd in other directions I cannot grasp.
Used to meet The Fool.. like a prancing little horse, followed by a dog, biting his leg…. and remusing the marching on of the Creative Energy.
But your invitation is there… breaking my concepts, my inner images, and forcing me to “see” others….I have met your Tarot Figures before… and now I invite you to join another Archetypal Journey in , a project cherished by byself some months ago… now a reality with the collaboration of a real valuable woman, called Tammy… here it is
