Carnarvon Bluff - Carnarvon Gorge - Queensland by

After a good hour of hard walking I finally reached the top of the bluff and set the camera and tripod against the security fence and set the timer to 10 secs and ran round just in time before the shutter captured this self portrait looking across the bluff at Carnarvon Gorge! Well that was the idea but fact would have it that I ran oot o time and 2 nice lassies helped me oot by pressing the shutter button! What a place to just “be” for a few days far away from the rat race!
Carnarvon Gorge lies 12 hours by car to the NW of Brisbane and for me is one of the hidden secrets of Queensland.
