After a good hour of hard walking I finally reached the top of the bluff and set the camera and tripod against the security fence and set the timer to 10 secs and ran round just in time before the shutter captured this self portrait looking across the bluff at Carnarvon Gorge! Well that was the idea but fact would have it that I ran oot o time and 2 nice lassies helped me oot by pressing the shutter button! What a place to just “be” for a few days far away from the rat race! Carnarvon Gorge lies 12 hours by car to the NW of Brisbane and for me is one of the hidden secrets of Queensland. Canon 40D .

You know what Joak I miss Bonnie Scotland and that great sense of humour to much………I will look you up one day when I am back in the land of the heather……there really is no place like home! You have a rare gift my friend……you have the uncanny ability to make people laugh withoot even trying !!! Keep in touch and keep werking that camera lens oot in the bonny braes…..
