Sunset Over Lake Weyba - Sunshine Coast - Queensland - Australia by AMP Al Melville Photography
Taken about half hour after sunset. This beautiful tree had recently died and fallen over into the lake.
I wanted somehow to capture the beauty of the essence of the tree in death against the living night sky and the final golden light of the setting sun deep below the western horizon.One or two stars even came out to give that final touch to a perfectly still evening. Camera settings were f5.6 on a 5 sec exposure @ ISO 800. Canon 1DS mark3.
Canon Lens 16-35mm f2.8 L Series with IS.
And my trusty Manfrotto tripod.
