The shape of here and now by Maree Cardinale

Currently unavailable for purchase

We spent an afternoon at the Melbourne Docklands. I was just so happy walking around surrounded by so many delicious shapes, textures and colours.

I’m sorry I don’t know the names of the buildings, when I do I will add the info.

Focal length – 70mm
ISO – 100

Having a blast.

Awesome capture, Ree – beautiful and majestic architecture… :))

  • Thanks Colleen, it’s really beautiful down there, and there was hardly any people on a Sunday afternoon… just enough for me to take some pics of and satisfy that candid need LOL.

Ooh fab, great composition and striking lighting Maree! I think the building in the foreground is the NAB headquarters, not sure about the other though.

  • Thanks Georgie, I think you’re right :)

I think when they decided to renew the Docklands area, the brief must have been “turn it into something that will fascinate photographers.” Very nice capture of a section of what has evolved/is evolving down there.

  • My eye LOVES this shot. The docklands is an infinitely delightful area to take photos. I adore it! :)
