Hanging around the farm on a sunny day by

PLEASE VIEW LARGE (click on the image)

This is a view of part of a 700 acre farm that belongs to some lovely people we met on the weekend.
The thing hanging up, I’ll take a guess and say it would be used to grab and pick up bales of hay… someone can correct me if I’m wrong. (According to Trudi, they are a set of paddock harrows. Thanks Trudi, and the other people who answered) :))
There was all manner of interesting rusty things hanging around. So beautiful :)

This device is similar to one used to drag behind a tractor to break up the “clods” of manure in a cattle pasture. Perhaps there are other uses but that was what I used one to do on my farm!

  • ahhhhhhh thank you Robert :)

I think my dad used one of these…pulled behind a tractor to rake clods of earth…(maybe a farrow?) Wonderful story and set of images!
