Forsaken not I Dream out Loud

I wrote this poem in the lost year of 2006. I needed not only help but Hope. These are part of the words He spoke to me. This is one of the poems I illustrated, illustration can be found, by the same name in my redbubble art portifolio

Forsaken not I Dream out Loud belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and Light In The Darkness

Forsaken not, I
Dream out loud
And in doing so
The fool in every crowd

Mock not always
As unlikely it may seem
At the Lord’s leading,
Follow I this dream

As yet the smallest flickering
A match within his store
His love burns within me
Has caused a fire’s roar

And He the kingdom’s kindling
Within the Christian heart
Beating, burning, searing
His desire to me imparts

Shout I now
In my own defense amongst the mocking throng
Forsaken not, I dream out loud,
Alas awakened to fulfillment’s song

    Shelley O'Hara...

This is a beautiful poem. I too, know very well the crushing weight of clinical depression. It is our response to the hopelessness of the world without Christ. Sometimes it seems as if nothing has any validity and we have no reference point—nothing matters and fear seems to reign over every thought. It is then, when our faith seems to have disappeared, that He holds us in His hands and by His grace we finally come through.
