In 2006, I was in a deep depression, unable to work, I had given up my art work, I thought for good. The Lord being who He is (you know what he is like when he loves you!) Gave me, what I call an “art” word. In which both the image and the poem were created in my spirit simultaneously. This is the only “art” word I have ever received, But what a word. It sustained me with hope and strength to go on! I wrote the poem down that night, but it would be 6 months before I was able to even attempt to draw the vision with which it was conceived with. God is good, and he loves us. (period)

Nail Scarred Feet
My steps so new and wobbly,
Uncertain with wavering gait.
Each step unchartered,
Each sway unchecked,
Unsure I stand and wait
“Follow me,” he beckons,
With arms extended wide.
“Ill hold you steadfast and
Guide you in each stride
From the darkest of valleys,
Unto the mountain peaks.”
All the while my spirit soaring
As I stand-upon
His nail scarred feet
