The inner journey is a passionate inquiry into our own soul, our own personal field of experience. It’s not enough to be passionately involved in a subject or pursuit that we are interested in learning more about; we have to be passionately involved in our own process. We need to inquire into and study our own state, our own soul; our inquiry has to be about what is relevant to us personally. – A. Hameed Ali

Featured in Solo Exhibition of Richard Sunderland. This is what he wrote: The light draws us into a face, contemplating, soul searching, the act of thinking is a frequent occurrence, we all do it at some time. The soft edges filter the thoughts, the eyes attempting to visualize and read them. The light and the dark are poised beautifully asymmetrically within the rectangle. The eye is drawn down the angled plane of the nose to the fingers and lips about to ask or maybe answer the question. The light in the dark is the eye strong and sharp, the all seeing eye, the inner spirit within all living things.
