This beautiful barn owl perched on a most unphotogenic stump and the background was blighted by telegraph wires. I found this delightful image of an open gate looking down onto Padstow Harbour on its journey over to Rock in Cornwall and transposed the owl into a more salubrious setting. I then processed it in onOne to give an impressionist feel to the whole picture.

Both taken with Nikon D5000 18 – 200 lens

I am 71 years young, and getting younger thanks to the new skills I am learning from the wonderful red bubble community. I came here as a competent photographer, no more, and discovered all the joys of manipulation. I now work for hours creating unique images from my photographs and then submit them for the never failing kind comments from the wonderful friends I have met on red bubble.

Looking at that beautiful linen landscape and this wonderful owl , morning fields of amber grey that lead us on a scenic journey…..Beautiful photography dear Alma …Paulx

  • Ohh how lovely to know that you feel this way about this image. I have loved both the picture which I took in Cornwall last year and the owl which I cannot remember where I took it but neither was strong enough on their own. I made this combined image and it is a joy to know that you like it. Thank you my friend and thank you for the fave. Alma xx
