Erin and Izzy taken during one of her training sessions and then processed in onOne, CS3 and photoshop. Taken with a Nikon D5000.
This beautiful mare and her adoring owner are a striking pair when they are togged up for a competition but this image is of a day to day working session in the menage at their stables in Cheshire.
Ah, that saddle brings back so many memories! My favourite was my Stuben, and I can still smell the leather when I think of cleaning it! Lovely capture Alma!
Thank you Maree, in five minutes we are off to Warrington to watch her compete in another event, fingers crossed. Will let you know. Alma
Sooooooooooooooo stylish , You most be very proud dear Alma ! Such a Stunning creation !
I spoke too soon Paul, our wonderful Izzy threw in a wobbler this morning, refused TWICE at the first fence and they were eliminated. This for the partnership who came 1st out of over 300 competitors just a month ago. Erin said that she was very flat and disinterested this morning, not like her, so we are hoping that she is well and just being naughty. Whatever, thank you so much for your lovely comment and for the fave, I really do appreciate them and your friendship. Alma x
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Horses are not machines, Erin & Izzy will bounce back ! , horses are like us humans , full of emotion and sometimes we all have a non going day , Anne’s trying to get me too clean the windows , but that sky looks really bleak & dark .and she has suggested I’m having a non going day ! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.. always great to hear from you , from a SUNNY Edinburgh ! he he…..Wonderful work dear Alma !
Isn’t it funny how we have to feel in the mood and then like the proverbial spoonful of sugar the medicine goes down without a hitch. Erin and Izzy will be fine, Erin is a superbly balanced individual who at 15 is learning horsemanship and horsecraft avidly with a view to making it her career. Just me, a doting grandma, can’t bear things to go wrong for them. Thank you for your lovely comment, I hope your windows sparkle and shine until Christmas!! Alma xx
A beautiful image Alma!! How was the competition? x
Thank you so much Elizabeth. Yesterday was not their finest hour, for some reason Izzy, normally the epitome of decorum decided to refuse twice at the first fence and was eliminated. Something she has never done before either in training or competition so all we can do is wish she could tell us why. Here’s to the next time, onwards and upwards!!! Alma xx
