This little fishing boat came into the harbour at sunset in the creek at Blackshore Quay, Southwold, Suffolk. Its owner was a delightful man who was greeted by his wife and dogs on shore. He said that he has been looking for a boat like this one for about two years and was thrilled with it because he felt that any child asked to draw a fishing boat would draw one just like it.

Treated with textures from onOne and Photoshop.
Taken with Nikon 5000 18 – 200 lens.

I am 71 years young, and getting younger thanks to the new skills I am learning from the wonderful red bubble community. I came here as a competent photographer, no more, and discovered all the joys of manipulation. I now work for hours creating unique images from my photographs and then submit them for the never failing kind comments from the wonderful friends I have met on red bubble.

So very beautiful! The colors of the sky reflecting in the water makes for a very peaceful setting! The fishing boat is an added bonus to its beauty! Fantastic work Alma!

  • What a lovely comment Swaby, I am pleased with this image. The owner of the boat had lost a leg and sailed it round each evening whilst his wife walked the dogs. I was delighted to be able to send it to him. Thank you for the fave too I really appreciate you stopping by. Alma

It is a beautiful shot and I just love the way the light is coming through the windows and then reflected in the water. I would be thrilled to own it and to have taken the photo. x

  • I am delighted that you have been able to accept this image Sue and that you like it too. He was a lovely man who had an artificial limb and made light of that fact as he hopped up his little walkway to greet his wife and dogs. I said that I hoped he didn’t mind that I had taken his picture. He was thrilled because he didn’t have any pictures of it so I was delighted to print and send him this one. x
