This solitary duck appeared quite despondent at the lack of company on its frozen pond. But, the scene was so beautiful I like to think it couldn’t bear to leave!! This was taken at the lakeside at Reaseheath College, Nantwich, Cheshire.

It was taken on the very first day I had my Nikon 8800 and my husband ten2eight was teaching me how to use it.

I am 71 years young, and getting younger thanks to the new skills I am learning from the wonderful red bubble community. I came here as a competent photographer, no more, and discovered all the joys of manipulation. I now work for hours creating unique images from my photographs and then submit them for the never failing kind comments from the wonderful friends I have met on red bubble.
