Fall Fern
Algonquin Park, Ontario is the most beautiful place in the world in the fall. I went up the weekend before Thanksgiving and could not stop shooting all weekend. Several hundred fall pictures later this one is by far my favorite.
Sometimes you gotta get dirty to get the right shot… This time lying on the very cold and damp ground and getting right underneath a low lying fern certainly paid off.

Brilliant – that’s a fantastic choice of angle. Composition is excellent, too, with the shape of the fern leaf seemingly fitting effortlessly into the contours of the background.

Must say Allison this is an unreal shot. Its quite bizzare in some ways, really makes you look into it and the composition is sensational. I’ve travelled all through Alberta and BC, both in winter and summer and love the place. It’s a photographers and skiers haven!!
