RAAF Catalina Flying Boat A24-362 on approch wheels down to Avalon for the 2011 International Airshow. This is not the actual aircraft, but another PBY-6A which was brought by the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) and painted up to represent a RAAF Catalina flying boat flown by a HARS member during World War II

Nice composition, you did wel to get her all in the frame!

  • She was joy to shoot Spence mate, she was moving so slowly that she was a aircraft junkie’s photographer dream! Plenty of time to compose and shoot! Sheer joy! First time I’ve seen a example of this type flying.
