“I thought this would be a tough choice, but it turned out to be a snap. So many images on redbubble are stunning, but it’s the rare one that sticks with you. I’d like to nominate just such an image – Barfly by Shanina Conway.

I wrote the following in the long “barfly”comments column – wow, tragic, elegant, rheumy-eyed human dignity slipping into darkness, the eyes red as an open wound, her shadow the color of poison.. It’s one of my favorite works of art.
