Street Angels – Part 2 There are times when you question whether the “dream” is worth it….
You pass by them while hurrying to work everyday….the Street Angels. Talented buskers and artists who live to dream of the day when a big time cigar smoking producer or agent will feel the magic and fulfill their dream.
Available as a framed print, mounted print, poster and laminated print. Many thanks to Marcus Ranum for the model.
Amazing stuff. I was inspired by a street angel myself for a poem. Love the picture, got so much happening in it, such life, without being pretentious about it! Similar to yourself, dear Shan :)
Hey Cailean, thank you..I love this theme, probably because I’ve lived it….love to see your poem;)
Shanina, I know this is about the busker, and you`ve portrayed her beautifully and she plays well and the monkey`s got such a sad look on his face that I know she`s gonna walk home tonight with a pretty fat wad and an optimistic smile….
But I keep coming back to the other chick. She`s obviously got lots of money (jeeze, does she know how to dress!), and I can see she`s compassionate just by the way she`s standing there… she`s also well connected in the art world as she`s definitely listening with intent. I think this could be the big break the busker`s been waiting for all these long and hungry years.
So now you`ll have to do the followup sequel where she gets the career she`s always wanted, becomes a superstar diva, develops a serious coke habit, and blows all her money and dies alone. At least as a busker, she had her soul.
Thanks for the daydream… you do such lovely art for the mind!
