What an amazing time in Aussie politics it’s like watching a Chess game…pass the popcorn!
Rudd was elected PM in an overwhelming victory in 2007, love him or loath him that’s the way it went…although the labor party likes to think the people elected the party, the man at the helm was Rudd, who, btw defeated Gillard in 2006 to become leader of the labor party.
What followed is akin to a Shakespearean tragedy with the faceless men doing side deals plotting to overtake Rudd, and Gillard being passed…mmm ….passed or grabbing the poison chalice.
Ruddy sat on the backbench for awhile pouting “et tu Julia” until given the position as Foreign Minister.
Now, here’s the rub,…Rudd has resigned as Foreign Minister after months of innuendos and speculation. Fascinating eh?..but there’s more…;)
Imagine being one of the faceless men, the thought of Rudd pulling the numbers in the Leadershop ballot on Monday will have them shaking in their boots and wondering whether they’d be relegated to the back bench or given postions of let’s say,Minister for Testing Ahha Bras or Pencil Sharpening…no, second thoughts, that’s a sharp instrument lol!……but, there’s always a but……. Rudd is now in the position where he could force an election bringing down the labor party, Gillard and the backroom boys, the faceless men….blood would flow as the Aussie public are fed up to the backteeth of the antics of the labor party!
….Labor party members are screaming foul and saying, probably silently praying Rudd would never force an election sprouting “disloyalty to the party, Rudd would never do this”…hehehe..this is coming from the backroom boys, the faceless men, the silent assassins, the keepers of the poison chalice;)
Who needs TV/DVD’s when you have Aussie politics…just pass the popcorn;)
