Good morning Cliff, , thanks you! Rug up as it’ was a bit cool along the broadwater this morning, I’ve been hanging out to see the whales, especially Migaloo around Narrowneck It’s the time of the year and they’ve already been quite a few sightings around the coast…have fun.

Thank you Rain and Whirligig, 6” stunners…must be time for me to buy new shoes as they’re appearing in my work! The Tat sits nicely, I’d love one like that but couldn’t stand the pain!

...& i must say, the pirate boots sound damn cool…bought a new black (9cm high) knee high pair 2wks ago that have a gorgeous fold design at the top, zip right up the back of the calf & have a rounded oval front toe…just love ‘em…

another fave pair ive worn to death bought almost 3yrs ago….(even travelled around europe/uk too with em wearin out to bars etc--but had to wear flat shoes on most days as i was backpacking) were my ultimate faves….a chocolate brown rounded almost square toed 8cm high gorgeous heel (small inner side zip) & again a folded top with a thin strip just under the fold with a silver button facing the outer leg…just bloody gorg will probably have them re-made when i kill them off as ive never found anything like them & i often get stopped on the street (even stopped in london inside bloody topshop!) & asked where the hell i got them, hehehe:)....just a cool shoe shop called zomp in sydney for $300-ive been tempted to spend in excess of $1000 on others but havent succumbed…nor can i afford to…

Ange, they sound like mine…flap folds down over the knee or up over, zip is on the inside and they have an oval shaped toe, all in a rich tan/brown leather.

I’ve never come across a black pair…:( you lucky girl bet they look drop dead gorgeous on!

was looking for another brown pair when i found the new the black pair…bought from a store called emporio mollini pitt st mall sydney (four floors of shoes on the top floor) again for just under $300 & such a good price for gorgeous leather boots, even my fave brown ones are a beautiful leather & very well made italian…cost per wear price far exceeds how many times ive worn them…

hehe I’ve been trying to read through it…the choco brown ones sound stunning too…make sure you do have them fixed up when they need it, so hard to find great boots these days so many look good but aren’t leather so they’re not going to last and you can’t appreciate the way the fine leather wears.
I’ve a vintage pair of Mr Christian booties they look just like fairy or jester boots with the wings on the front and the back made of half purple suede and half purple floral tapestry so cute..they always get stares and laughs;)

I know the store, haven’t been there for quite awhile, can’t wait to go to Italy…guess what I’ll be buying, mind you I don’t get to wear them often being up here so I spend an inordinate amount of time just looking at my boots lol!

oh italy blew me away shanina…i wanted to buy gucci bags, shoes, clothes you name it….was in capri & couldnt believe the price of the same gucci leather snakeskin bag was about 500/600 euros cheaper than rome, florence & milan!! had a good ol’ chat to the gals in milan (husband’s italian so it helps) & asked what the????...they denied there was any price diff….hehehe:) nevermind…but was so close to flying back to capri to buy that bag…would of had to cut short our trip by about a month, so decided experiencing the world was worth more than that damn cool bag, cant even get it here in australia & a smilar one has a waiting list…but no-where near as cool as the capri one…argh yes, sigh, i still think about that bag:)

but oh yeah gotta take care of good shoes…have a lovely italain shoemaker locally who takes about a week to replace my heels etc but they last me about 6mths (i kid you not!) & thats with some hardcore daily wear…

A good Italian bootmaker is the way, I had one in Melbourne who did amazing things and managed to rescue my favourite boots even though I put them through hell…he could also transform a pair of so-so boots into something magical…all this talk about boots is making me long for cold weather;)
The thing about a good pair of Italian leather boots is the longer you wear them they become more comfortable and just fit your feet and legs perfectly…something man made fibre boots can’t do….

on the boot theme – inflatable booty shapers! Prevents those nasty wrinkles and creases around the ankles, especially for my precious teal cuban-heeled boots. I’ve seen an MGB for sale in almost the same colour but that might be taking colour coordination too far.
