The name is inspired by the the lyrics of “Synchronicity II” by the Police; the part where Sting sings, “The factory belches filth into the sky.”

In doing street and urban photography of Hamilton neighbourhoods, making at least one shot like this in the industrial sector was inescapable in my quest to reaveal the true character of each part of the city.
