If This Were My Last Day on Earth...

If this were my last day on earth,
I would not hesitate to tell you how I feel.
If the world was coming to an end today,
I would hold you close and never let you go.

I would tell you there was no one else I want to spend my final hours with.
If one of us was dying, I would look deep into your warm eyes,
and touch your beautiful face.

And if it was me that was leaving this world,
With the last of my strength,
And with my very last breath,
I would whisper.. “I’ve always loved you”.

If This Were My Last Day on Earth... by

Why is it we can only say those things hidden deep in our hearts after it’s too late?
When all is said and done, the fear is only temporary.
So is the hurt that may come from rejection or disappointment.
But the regret that comes from never having the courage to open your heart before it was too late..

That lasts a lifetime..

So please,
Don’t ever take for granted the time you have today.
Don’t assume there is always tomorrow, and you’ll have another chance.
Don’t ever tell yourself.. ‘when the time is right’.

The time may never be right again, and tomorrow may never come.
If you love someone.. tell them..
Open your heart, no matter how hard it may seem.
Grab a hold of the next moment you are given, and don’t let it pass by..

It may be your last one..
