A new little favourite spot of mine at Black Rock in Victoria, Australia. Had been there the week before to check it out but had less than ideal conditions so came back when the weather was a bit nicer.

There were some great looking clouds around so I knew I had to pull out the Lee Big Stopper before it got too dark.

  1. Canon 7D, 10-22 mm FL: 10 mm
  2. 106 seconds @ f14, ISO 100
  3. Lee 0.6 ND Hard Graduated Filter & Lee Big Stopper
  4. Adobe Lightroom 3

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

I can’t believe I used to live just down the road from there. Don’t remember it ever looking that gorgeous though. One day I will take a shot like this , hopefully ;)

Lovely light and the 10mm and nd filter has done a great job. Must try out this angle on my daily walk down there from my home in Beaumaris :-) Next time you feel like heading down there let me know and you can have some company :-)
