Fly By by

Taken mid afternoon on the lovely Tamar River in Tasmania. There are a few of these little piers littered along this stretch of river some of them private and some of them not so private. This was one of the public ones. Not many of them seemed to get much use though!

The blue cast left by the filter seems to be fairly easy to correct in post processing, I’d be interested in knowing other people’s thoughts who have used the Big Stopper filter.

Settings

  1. Canon 5D mk II, 17-40L mm FL: 17 mm
  2. 50 seconds @ f14, ISO 100
  3. Lee 0.6 ND Hard Graduated Filter & Lee Big Stopper
  4. Adobe Lightroom 3

About Alistair Wilson

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..
