Taken on a beautiful morning just after dawn near Marysville. I hadn’t been to this particular spot since before the Black Saturday bushfires and I was glad that it escaped most of the flames on that terrible day.
Our old house in Marysville was probably the closest house to this spot and it’s always an experience for me coming back and remembering what was. It’s great to see some more places gradually being rebuilt and the town was extremely busy over the Easter weekend which is always a great sign.
This spot is part of the Yarra Ranges National Park in Victoria, Australia.
Wonderful capture Al! Really love the crystal waters on the right of the frame as the slowly become motion blurred towards the left. The moss covered log really leads the eye out to the rest of the shot.

A beautifully composed shot Alistair. Love the green moss on the the log in the foreground and your use of it as a focal point.
