This stretch of coast line which encompasses the most Southern point of the Australian mainland is absolutely magical and I feel privileged to have spent just an afternoon here not long ago. I would love to return and spend a week or so hiking around the park as it has been years since I went for a proper hike in the area. Taken at the famous holiday destination of many Victorian’s, Wilson’s Promontory National Park in South East Victoria, Australia

I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours at this spot and was there a few hours early prior to sunset to make sure I found a good spot, it was quite an experience just sitting up on top of this rock enjoying the view and listening to the crashing ocean all around. Definitely one of my favourite places in the world to spend an afternoon and one day I well return to try and get a real idea of this magical place.

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

Great detail in the foreground Rocks, nice work Alistair.
I see you are using LR3, how are you finding it? I am such a fan of LR2 I have been waiting for the release of 3.
    All the best

  • Thanks Andy, yeah it’s quite good basically the same piece of software. I reccon it runs a bit smoother than LR2 and the noise reduction software is a bit better too in my opinion. There’s also some cool functions for lens corrections that it does based on your camera and lens but I tend to do it manually in Photoshop anyway
