One of those mornings where you look out and love life, nature, Canon L-series Lenses, fog, cold mornings, and realise that no morning is ever the same! Taken from the Dandenongs with Mount Donna Buang (I think) and the Warburton Ranges in the background. Silvan Reservoir isn’t visible due to the heavy thick fog. This was taken in the morning before Wake up call. My tripod has a bit more trouble supporting this Telephoto L Series lens than the usual wide angle lenses. Next time I might actually think to mount it by the lens and not the camera..

Lovely shot Al. I must make the effort myself to get up at ‘sparra’ to try to capture something like this since I live in the ranges myself:)
Thanks mate, lovely area to live in! Nice and cold in winter.. I wish there was a viewpoint that didn’t have the trees in the way so much

A beautiful image enhanced by the dark silhouetted foreground and light shadows upon the fog layer. Excellent timing, excellent results.

stunning work
Brilliant Al – I know exactly where you are – and in the old days, it would have been you and I on a bike up there! But I bet you drove ;-)
I sure did! Wouldn’t catch me up there in 5 degrees in the dark on the road!
