This morning the 28th of April 2010 I was greeted with a beautiful sunrise at Brighton, just a short distance from the Melbourne CBD. These huts are one of Melbourne, Australia’s most famous icons and can be seen in advertisements far and wide. I have been here a few times in the past few weeks both at sunrise and sunset and finally got the one shot I was looking for. Thanks for viewing!

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

Great photograph, beautiful skies and I like those huts so much! :)

  • Thaks Lenka, they are pretty cool looking and they probably cost more than an actual house!

I’ve always wanted to shoot here, it’s iconic! Are those huts used at all or just display? Its a great shot mate, love the light and colour in the sky :)

  • Thanks mate, yeah they are quite the icon. I think they are used because they have locks on them and I hear they are extremely expensive!
