Donnie Darko by

Shooting into the moon, had to use an ND8 grad filter to hold back the brightness so I could get a good exposure on the foreground, it’s amazing how much light there is after dark when the moon is out :) shot with a Canon 5D

This freaky tree reminded me of the rabbit in Donnie Darko!

About Alistair Wilson

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

Looks great Alistair – love the composition.
The stars are really clear with just the beginnings of a trail. I guess your exposure time was only a few minutes.

  • Thanks mate, yeah think it was around only 80 seconds or so
