Marysville from Keppel’s Lookout taken in October of 2009 approximately 8 months after the devastation of Black Saturday. A town that is so dear to me and my family’s heart..

I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m still here on redbubble, have just been having a few hard months. I had a bad sickness for a couple of weeks which anti-biotics seemed to help and so became fairly behind with my uni work and as soon as things seemed to get better one of my best mates from high school passed away in a terrible car accident. This past week has been a horrible time but luckily my friends and family have been helping me deal with this tough ordeal. I hope to get out there taking more photos and sharing them with you guys soon :)

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

It has not been a good year for you, that’s for sure. Hang in there Alistair – though I don’t know you, I know you’re a good bloke and I’ll keep you in my prayers. Hope you can catch up with Uni – it would suck to have to do it all again :(

Oh, and I totally forgot to comment on the image – beautiful composition and light, and the green does exactly what growth and new life do when surrounded by lifelessness – it shines :)
