This one was taken at Gibson’s Beach shortly after sunrise, looking east away from the apostles. As soon as we got back into the car it started to rain again.

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

Stunning shot mate, love the depth. And the swirl around the foreground rock gives an interesting touch.

Fabulous image Alistair!!
Nice work!
Gorgeous the swirl around the rock is awesome. btw what is a ND8 filter?
Thanks Lindsay :D an ND8 graduated filter is basically a filter you put in front of the camera that is dark at the top and clear at the bottom so you get a better exposure of the sky without it being blown out – an ND4 is equivalent to i think 2 stops of light and an ND8 is stronger around 3 stops down
