Blustery Melbourne by

Had a hard time getting a long exposure without the tripod getting blown around too much, taken from the end of the St Kilda Pier looking back towards the CBD of Melbourne just shortly after sunset.

About Alistair Wilson

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

Good shot Alistair with the blurring of the boats adding that bit extra.

  • Thanks Derek, yeah couldn’t decide whether I liked the windy conditions or not but I think it does add a little something to it

Beautiful shot Alistair. I’ve made shots similar to this of Miami bay in Florida USA, I am tempted however to take this kind of shot with slow speeds a little earlier(right after sunset) to see if it may cut down on the motion. However this is still a very superior shot to most we see here. Great job again!

  • Thanks mate, yeah it’s fun experimenting I was using a few different shutter speeds to see the effect at this time
