Release me... by

Taken at Rhyll early in the morning when the tide was way out. On the way back from Cowes to Woolamai I thought I might stop by Rhyll as I had never been there before even after all the years we had a house there. I spotted this boat tied up in the mud and couldn’t resist a shot. My shoes sank into the mud real deep and had to give the tripod a good clean.

Taken with my Canon 40D with polarising and graduated filters.

Featured in the All About Boating group on the 19th of April 2009

About Alistair Wilson

Photography for me is an outlet, a way I can express myself through images rather than words. I look at the subjects I shoot from every possible angle that I can imagine and with the right light, the vision in my head becomes a reality. My passion for it began after high school and over the past several years it has become my release, my way of seeing from a different perspective..

Very cool ! would love to go back some day to photograph some of the fantastic spots on Philip Island

  • Thanks again mate, yeah it was the first time I had been down there since I’ve really been into photography. There’s so many good spots to see I think I know the island like the back of my hand now!
