Taken at William Ricketts Sanctuary in the Dandenongs. This was my first visit to the sanctuary and I’m certain it won’t be my last. For people who haven’t been there it is an amazing forest with almost 100 sculptures by the late William Ricketts, his philosophy was, “That all people need to act as custodians of the natural environment in the same way as Aborigines” and this is expressed in much of his work.
HDR done in Photomatix and worked over in Adobe Lightroom
I saw this place on TV around 10 years or so ago when Billy Connolly did his World Tour of Australia, the place is still in my mind and I remember Billy and the TV audience was in awe of the astounding art he found there. Truly beautifully captured mate : )
