P-51 Mustang by Alistair Wilson
This photo was handed down to me by my dad, he has a great interest in planes so I wanted to see if there were any photos I could play with.
The polished aluminium body and clouds just begged HDR so this is what I came up with. Scanned the image and imported it into Lightroom then exported it as 3 different exposures and merged it in Photomatix. Put it back into Lightroom and touched it up a bit. I decided to leave the spots of dirt and stuff for an older ‘feel’.

This is great! I love the post processing. The whole image just glows. A great plane, a great piece of history we must never forget.
