Makes a great abstract Alistair, I like the posters in the background. You should try and sell this to the coffee shop!

Thanks Sylvia, the shop is huge and the wall are covered with concert posters of just about every band you could think of.
Sharon Hammond
Cool. Did you use a Lensbaby or was this a zoom blur? (never been able to master either myself)
alistair mcbride replied
Thanks Sharon,i cheated a did it in photoshop, zoom not that hard to do but you need fairly long exposure to have time to zoom in and iam like you as far as lensbabys go just cant quite get a decent shot with them.
Mel Brackstone
Perfect subject for this, Alistair, hope you tried it with the lensbaby too? I found the best way was to just leave the lensbaby on the camera full time for a month or so…pull it in on both sides to get focus, make sure your dioptre is set correctly in your viewfinder….and it helps when starting out to use f/4 or f/5.6. Feel free to bmail me with questions!
alistair mcbride replied
thanks for the tips Mel,leaving the lensbaby on for a month is probably the way to go,i tend to take a few shots get disheartened and pack it away, Having fun with my new set of Kenko extension tubes so will leave the lens bady in the bag until i’m feed up with macro the give it a go again later
Mel Brackstone
Oooo, I use the kenko 12mm extension tube with lensbaby ALL the time!!! heh
alistair mcbride replied
Never thought to use both together, will try them out, thanks Mel
