As Time Falls Apart

This piece was inspired by the brilliant digital artwork Time Falling Apart created by Coppertrees Vickie (aka Coppertrees) has always inspired me to write with her art that speaks a thousand languages, but I swear that this one sang to me. The moment I saw it, I just had to write.

Drifting through infinite space
Pastel bursts of colour abound
As galaxies bud, blossom, then wither away

The mind expands in radiating circles
Absorbing the wisdom of galaxies lost
All encompassing truth in the space between

I am nothing
I am everything
I am emptiness
I am entirety

Thoughts wander through stretches of eternity
Synapses of all that has passed before
Floating in the iris of God’s Eye

Brilliant fireworks erupt with spent passion
Soul cocooned in the nothingness of absolute peace
Watching on as time falls apart
