Wesley usually didn’t approve of his brothers taste in women, but Ivy seemed different.
Ivy was confident, funny, intelligent and a great cook. Wesley could find no fault with her.
Still, something tugged at the corner of his mind. A nagging hint of recognition. Wesley just couldn’t place her.
Chester was relating an anecdote from work over coffee. As Chester reached the climax of his tale, he hit his mug, sending it across the room.
Ivy laughed, ‘I’ll get it.’
Ivy knelt down to pick the pieces of ceramic up off the tiles. The waistband of her jeans lowered slightly and Wesley caught a glimpse of a distinctive red frog tattoo on the back of her hip.
Quickly looking away, Wesley fought the urge to be sick. He knew who she was.
Masquerade.
Wesley’s favourite girl from Lilith’s Brothel. Chester’s taste hadn’t changed at all.

Ahhh…I could feel Wesley’s disappointment. Wonderful tale felt like so much more happened in such a short write. The characters were built so well in this and a red frog tattoo on Masquerade…(good name by the way) was a nice touch. :))

Thanks Arcadia :)

What? Had Wesley never seen her face before?
Good story.
Alison Pearce replied
Ah, but that mystery is solved by her “working” name Lawford…
Lawford
Doh. I get it.
I just thought he must have been behind her all the time and didn’t see her face. Guess that’s just my dirty mind.
Alison Pearce replied
Well, to be honest (I am blushing now) I did have that in mind, but I didn’t think it was enough :)

Nothing like a distinctive tattoo to uncover the Masquerade!
Good take on the prompt Allison.
