Lay your weapons down
This is now hallowed ground
Sanctified by millions of tears
Blood spilt over too many years

Cast your anger aside
Say amen and swallow your pride
Walk away, it’s not too late
Or on your knees and accept your fate

I can see the light but I am hiding
Too much time wasted on this fighting
Retreat is now the only way
To find the light of day

Things are not what they may appear
In the dark there’s too much too fear
Find the light and treasure the day
Everything shall be okay

The choice is yours and yours alone
But don’t wait till the door is closed
Embrace the sun for the light is dear
Pay no mind to the lies you hear

I can see the light but I am hiding
Too much time wasted on this fighting
Retreat is now the only way
To find the light of day

Fly with me, you shall be free
You are not what you seem to be
You are the light, you are the dark
Intertwined, we’ll never part

You can’t run from me for I will follow
I know your fears, I know your sorrows
The pain inside is where I live
Let it out, don’t give in

I can see the light but I am hiding
Too much time wasted on this fighting
Retreat is now the only way
To find the light of day

Lay your weapons down
This is now hallowed ground
