The Jazz Man by Alison Pearce

The Jazz Man by

Inspired By"Carole King’s song The Jazzman
When the Jazzman’s testifying, a faithless man believes,
He can sing you into paradise or bring you to your knees

This is the beginning of a new collection I have been working on that combines elements of favism and primitive techniques to (hopefully) bring to life the joy of music. The collection will focus mainly on buskers with some pieces inspired by famous folk as well.
The medium used has been oil pastels on plain old printer paper. As an experiment, I have spent as little time as possible on each piece wanting a raw and somewhat hurried look to the works.
I hope you enjoy.
Thank you for looking :)

About Alison Pearce

Logan based writer, poet and artist. I seek with the pen and the brush. I think and it rolls out into words or strokes. I believe my writing should paint a picture and that my art should tell a story. I’m an uncomplicated woman in a very complicated way.
