Bernardine Church after dusk, Lvov (Lviv,Lwow), Ukraine
The construction of the former Bernardine Monastery (now the Church of St.Andrew) was started in 1600 by Paolo Romano, continued after his death by Ambrosius Przychylny. The bell-tower was built by Andreas Bemer, sculptural decoration of the facade was also done by him.
The main facade is decorated with numerous sculptures, Madonna with Baby, apostles St.Peter and St.Andrew in the niches of the middle tier are one of them. Stone figures of the Bernardines Saints find their places on the ledges of pediments.
