Selichot
This originated as an (approx) 48X36 acrylic on canvas in pinks and purples. The Original resides in a home in Culleoka, Tennessee. It was painted after a saeson of some very detailed work that was precise and time consuming, this was a spontaneous work done in a very flowing kind of way. Now revived in a graphic image, with alterd colors and the addition of the words-Selichot and Forgiveness. This was a hebrew word I was studying at the time. It is the name for the prayers of repentance said during the season of Elul on the Hebrew Calendar. Forgiveness or Pardon are loose translations but appropriate. It is great for cards to jewish people during this season, or just to say “I ‘m sorry”. in a creative way.
