Artist's Description

*The river Liese wends her way to the Darkwind Sea in the northlands of Galrath.
On her way she passes many lands, but by far the strangest is the forbidding Darkling Wood.
Liese is a swift river with many rapids and falls, yet in the 300 miles through the Wood her angry waters are almost deathly calm.
When running the river one must stay in the very center of the stream, this a hard thing to do, for the currents try to pull the boat to shore.
An untold number of beings have been lost in the passage, for the Darkling Wood holds many secrets, and a great many souls.

At least this is what legends, myths and stories tell.

And when running the river under the great moon Rakanoth and her dark child Shadow, it is very easy to believe these myths, whether they be fact or fiction.

And the entity of the Darkling Wood plays many tricks with the mind.*

This is a scene from the 2341 film " Worlds of the Celts "

As with all my work its best viewed in ZOOM mode
