Traveling across space seeking new heights to climb, one comes upon many challenges, one such is The Shard on Hebilon III in the Crab Nebula.

The Shard stands alone in the very center of a desert, and from any part of civilization the distance is 3500 leagues.

On this world are no motorized hovers, all travel is on the backs of Garen ( a six-legged creature, much like the Earthly elephant, only it as two heads ) it is very slow travel, making about 100-200 leagues a day, depending on weather, and much like the Earthly mule sometimes as a mind of its own, or in the Garens case ….minds!

To mount such an expedition takes many credits, such a venture can involve up to 300 beings. All plans are made years in advance.
Still the lure of being one of a very few to climb this shattered rock towering a staggering 60,000 ’ is well worth the cost and journey.

The journey can last for three years, the climb itself for up to 6 months, but if you are a true climber, its the challenge…………….
