My obsession with animals and all creatures great and small began when I could walk. Not content with seeing them in cages, at the age of 3, I freed my siblings 15 pet mice and watched as they all scurried up the garden for a chance of freedom.

I did however get my comeuppance in the form of my father’s working ferret (normally used to flush out rabbits from their burrows) who didn’t take kindly to the way I handled him (I have to say by picking him up by his tail, however in my defence I was 3 and should of been supervised) when I was younger and so he sunk his sharp needle teeth in my tiny button nose and didn’t let go for nothing or no-one. I still bear the scares to this day, mentally and physically.

I then went on to collect spiders in pencil cases (I now suffer with arachnophobia) and hiding kittens under my bed. I was the ultimate nightmare child, however this all gave way to a passion for wildlife and photography, and now instead of taking the creatures home and hiding them in my bedroom I responsibly capture their images digitally for all to enjoy forever.

Over the years I’ve studied Equestrian Management and Animal Care and was able to gain experience with my local Zoo and R.S.P.C.A.
I hope to return to study for my Bioscience Degree in the near future.

So it is with both of my passions and dreams that I hope to combine my love of wildlife and photography not only for my enjoyment but for those of you who also appreciate our not so human neighbours.

Oh and before I finish there is one quote said by Native Americans, which we should all live by ‘We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we merely borrow it from our children’.
