The Sunlight Shines through the Once Dark Sky

The sunlight shines through the once dark sky
As the ice and the snow melt away.
The birds are back singing sweet as they fly,
And the buds break through on a brand new day.

Day by day the flower grows with might,
Fed its delicates by the nourishing sun storm.
The birds and the bees are now fully in sight,
As each passing day warms and warms.

Another beautiful spring has passed,
And the summer is now fully in bloom.
The days are scorching until the sunset is cast,
And the cool night air comes out with the moon.

The days begin to shorten, but long they still seem,
And the once lazy days begin to rush.
And all take one last look at the precious scene,
Before the sweet sounds of summer are hushed.

The bright green on the trees begin to turn red,
And the humidity is blown away by the cool autumn wind.
And all the once beautiful flowers are dead,
Left rotting as if they all had sinned.

The warm, easy, and priceless life,
Has been disturbed by the brutally cold air,
That sneaks up so quickly, and cuts like a knife,
Tearing the color, and leaving trees bare.

The precious and nurturing spring days,
And the exciting and hot summer ways,
Were quickly lost by the crisp autumn nights,
And stolen by the bitter winter might,
As heaven sorrowfully cries down snow,
In fear of forever loosing the summer’s glow
