I haven’t been drawing, but I have been working! I do hope to be at the easel again sometime in the very near future. And I do miss all of you too.

Ms.Serena Boed...
Miss you too Alice , sounds Awesome what your doing :)
xx
Alice McMahon:
It’s been fun but stressful too, Serena. I know I’d be better for drawing, but I’m the kind of person that needs to put everything into my art or it’s not going to happen. I’m excited to be creating a place to show my work, my daughter’s, and also other artists who might not have the opportunity otherwise. Steve really needs a change of pace, and a business of his own for a change, not to mention time to play!
There’s also a need for another coffee shop in Galena, so it will be great to serve the community. I’m very pleased to be meeting more talented artists and friendly business owners there as well. I hope it’s a good thing for all of us. It can’t hurt for the kids to see another type of life before they choose their own!
Hugs and love to you pretty lady, and thanks for the well wishes. I’ll be over to check out your new work asap!
Jack McCabe
Now that is one ambitious adventure, a great read!
Best of luck to you both, I’d love to stop by for coffee and some guitar riffs, chat and see some original art someday!
Alice McMahon:
Galena is off the beaten path, but definitely worth the journey! Thanks for the good vibes Jack!
Leith O'Malley
So you were a Caffeine Girl after all lol!
Best of luck with the new (ad)venture Alice!
Alice McMahon:
Well, it says so right on my shirt. ;-) You just never know where the muse will lead you, Leith.
Tahnja
Sure do miss you Alice! But what a great venture you have chosen to undertake…..can’t wait to hear how it all goes but more than that….can’t wait to see more work from you
Alice McMahon:
I’ve not been a very good friend, Tahnja, sorry. Ideas are brewing already so hope to be back on board soon! xo
MoonSpiral
Wow, that sounds like a dream come true. What a great building in a beautiful classic Midwestern town. Plus, coffee is always a good investment….if I lived in Galena, I alone would keep you in business…lol. Good luck and keep us posted.
Alice McMahon:
Hi MS! You found me on FB – cool! We are so addicted to good espresso, but now we are turning into snobs and hard to please. Hope you can make the trip someday – it would be great to meet you.
Syd Baker
What a marvelous venture, and the whole family is involved, sounds like the whole thing is planned and thought out most excellently. Good for you, Alice, sounds a whole new future for you all!
Alice McMahon:
Thanks so much! I’m feeling psyched most of the time Syd – it’s hard to imagine how it will be in a year or so. It’s not like this has been a life long dream for us, but with hard work and luck, it may be a better life than we could ever have dreamed! Keep dreaming up your fantastic work!
Lynsye Medalia
Wonderful! Oh I’m so happy for you and your family – what a dream!!! :) DEFINITELY keep us posted on the progress! I’m so so happy that butterfly came to visit!
Alice McMahon:
I guess the butterfly is always there Lynsye, but sometimes it’s keeping a low profile. I’ve definitely had a charmed life, filled with music, art, good food, family and friends! Hugs and best to you my pretty Fairy girl.
Valerie Simms
Perfect! Coffee, baguettes and my favourite artist all in one place :) I will see you again one day my talented friend.
Big hugs from your pal Val x
Alice McMahon:
Of course Val, we’ve already decided our second location will be somewhere in the EU! LOL! And with any luck, we can come visit England again in our off season. Yes! xoxo
Tahnja
Oh no Alice, I don’t think of it like that…we all have lives to lead, things to do, people to help….it’s all good. Just miss ya! Hugs
