This 24” X 24” acrylic painting is a trip down memory lane.Sailboat racing is a thrilling event. When my son was young I was his crew when he raced his Hobie Cat because he needed my weight for palace. My two daughters would participate in the Laser sailboat races in Lake Arrowhead California when they were young. One Mother’s Day back in the 1970’s my family convinced me to race in the Mother’s Day Laser race. I won a third place trophy because there were only three participants. The judges went home before I finished the race it took me so long to finish the course. I had not sailed the Laser before that day. This painting was inspired by past nostalgia, obviously!

Thank you James. I can tell by your bio that being a grandpa is one of the greatest blessings in your life. Mine too, I have ten grandchildren and the joy, fun and love they bring to our lives is without comparison.
